Men, throughout their life, are taught to bury their emotions, be strong, not cry, that bravery and manliness is about holding back your feelings. This is a real problem for many men, this is a cultural conditioning that causes us to deny what is human and natural.
The problem is these hurts don’t go away, instead they only sink deeper in. Men can feel hurt and weak inside, while appearing heavily armored on the outside; this effects intimacy and loving connection. Perhaps it's time to consider disarmament?
